I was gonna say, it could well be another day to eat cake! Sometimes you just have to let the cravings take the reins (I am totally going for a spoonful of caramel swirl ice cream right now. OMG.)

        • Down some inches -- scale is wiggling, and I can tell I'm on the cusp of losing a little bit of weight.

Eating: mostly fruits and veggies, nuts/seeds, minimal grains.

Using: Thug Kitchen, Vegan crockpot recipes, and Food Network

          • Ooh, never heard of Thug Kitchen, I'll check that one out. I'm in a vegan foods rut. My request finally came in for the Oh She Glows cookbook. Sounds a bit hokey but worth a peep at a library copy I hope.

Also, it's 2:20 and I really need to get in a run (which can take an hour), and I was going to start the crockpot for dinner at 3pm, and the bus comes at 3:45. Erp.

We have the Oh How She Glows (?) book -- I haven't opened it yet, but DH peruses it a lot.

              • Ran 5 miles today, now eating leftover pizza. Tomorrow is weigh in day, so I should have gone healthy, but it's soooo yummy!

Cool, thanks! I am going to look up some more Mark Bittman too I think. There's just something about how laidback but tasty his recipes are.

I put the chicken in the crock pot and the rice in the rice cooker, got DS's karate stuff ready for DH to take him, then went for my run! (Just went for 3 miles, but chose the hilliest route.) Phew. Off to meet the bus now, no time to shower (eyew...)

                  • Only had one no count day last week and that's because I ate too many small things it would've been a pain to count. I probably did go over though. Which puts me at two days going over 1500 the rest were significantly under. Still haven't weighed, but trying to be good because I have an OB appointment next Thursday. They weigh, don't they? hopefully it's not too cold so I won't have to wear a ton of clothes!

Cut out fruit about a week ago to ensure I'm in ketosis. Averaging about 50g of carbs a day. Don't feel a difference though some moderate sweet cravings. I did buy half and half because almond milk in my tea just doesn't cut it. C would have a fit if I used heavy creamer (which is what they suggest if you *must* use anything at all)

Craziest thing is how well I'm sleeping. Who would've thought?

OB, or Gyn? Do you have something to share???? (And yeah, either way they probably weigh, but they are used to people who are anxious about their weight and you are well within bounds to ask to turn around and not see the number, and have them not tell you.)

I'm so glad you're getting good sleep. What a great feeling!

                        • Nothing to share! Nothing to share!! Just the most ignorant med spouse ever who doesn't know there's a difference between OB and Gyn!
