I think I'm going to try tennis. Maybe that will help.
What I do: PHUL (weight lifting program) 4 days a week (about 1.5 h each day). Zumba 2 times a week (on the same days as lifting bc of my schedule). Softball 1 night (though I shouldn't count it as exercise because it's not really ) I'd like to add in a run, but I usually don't have time during the week. Sometimes I'll add a 30 minute run on the treadmill after a lifting day.
What I eat: complex carbs, lean protein and veggies, a smidge of fruit and a bit of dairy. I aim for 130+ grams of protein a day. I used to do low carb/high fat, but I've recently changed to lower fat (<50g) and higher carb (>100g). Around 1500-1600 calories a day. I'm 5'6" and about 130 lbs. My maintenance is around 2000. And that chart spotty_dog referenced by Precision Nutrition is so spot on.
I mess up a lot. And there were weeks I overate and I gained despite all of my activity. But when I consistently follow my "plan," the fat melts. It sucks when I turn down cupcakes though (yesterday)!
