  • I'm not a big from scratch cooker because I work, have 2 kiddos and obviously a resident spouse so the zuchini vegetti was a quick weeknight meal. So its not really a recipe...

I just used the vegetti to make "spaghetti" from zuchini. Saute the zuchini noodles with adobo and a little olive oil (maybe 5-10 minutes) add a jar of pasta sauce and microwaved trader joe turkey meat balls and top with cheese.

    • When I get worried that I'm snacking mindlessly, I just set myself one rule: it has to be raw. So fruit, veggies, raw almonds...as a bonus, since you know it's a stress response, the need to snack is probably partly sensory-seeking, and crunchy can help soothe that need.

      • It is a bit make ahead, but we make chia pudding with 1 cup coconut or almond milk, 1 cup Greek yogurt,
Chia seeds, stevia, and cocoa powder. It tastes really rich.

I'm down 4 lbs in a little under 2 weeks. I also lose quickly at first so I know it will slow down, but I hope
        I can keep it up

        • Ran on the treadmill for 30 minutes today. Then went to Chuck E. Cheese and had pizza... Oops! Will probably have a Panera Bread soup and salad for supper since DH is on call, so that should keep me within my WW points for the day.

            • Week 2 of adding running to the regimen is in the books -- this week, however, I have felt totally fatigued. Suspecting excessive exercise and that the body hasn't caught up yet, but going in for blood work to check hormone levels if next week is more of the same.
              Good workout yesterday!

I saw you had to abort your run the other day! Bummer.

                  • I worked out every day for a week! And tracked food almost every day. It was a great week!

                    • Good for you!! Heading to Mexico today.... Planning to go to yoga while I'm there but I'm pretty sure the FitBit takes steps away whenever I do it!! The only steps I get are walking to and from class

It's not really a step-py kind of activity though, right? Any more than weight lifting or swimming are. You can enter it manually for active minutes though!

                        Have fun in Mexico!

I'll try to get better at it. Right now I am trying to cut back on cheese. That's the last bastion of fat where I really eat too much.
I read that cheese is literally addicting. (Of course, I also read a rebuttal to that claim, so...) It's part of why I try to go vegan before 6pm...it rules out cheese for a snack.

                          • I have no idea when or how I'm getting my walk today. It's cold, and I'm getting sick, so I just want to huddle inside with hot tea. The kids are going to be hard to drag outdoors in the chill breeze, and impossible to get them to walk more than 30 minutes. Also, we might be expecting some dude off of Craigslist to look at something hubby is selling, so I have to stay close to home. But I sat on my ass watching them play basketball for two straight hours this morning and I NEED to get in gear, at least a little. Ugh.

                              • It is DREARY out and even my Happy Light hasn't revived my energy. I did go for a walk with the dog and haven't eaten a ton, but man. I'm like a sloth today. The forecast says we have at least a week of this, so I better figure out how to manage it.

I hate GREY SKIES. I am starting to understand why people move to Florida or Arizona after a lifetime in the Midwest. (Since I was born and raised in Florida and moved north for college, I never understood the migration.)
