I attached my FB to my shoe on the treadmill today and it said I ran 2.67 miles, but the treadmill said 3 miles. Not sure what to make of the discrepancy. Tomorrow I'm planning to do the same routine with the FB on my wrist to see what it says.

Having a wrist unit on your foot might throw that off, or maybe it incorrectly extrapolates from your height to your stride, or maybe your stride length changes more than that. Basically you kinda need to take it all with a grain of salt. Being off by 10% isn't so terrible?

Of course after all these travels the last two weeks I get sick. I've missed so much work there's no way I can take a day (and I work 7 days a week). So I'm not even going to try to make 10k steps until I start feeling better.

I think I'm gonna quit this week's challenge too. I came home early because I feel so shitty plus this impending "storm" which was snow/sleet an hour north but rain by the lake. Whatever. This is the downside of working 7 days a week and peace'ing out in the middle of the semester. I have very little wiggle room to stay home and rest.

Husband: Gets up at 6:30. Goes to a meeting from 7-9. Heads out on his bike in 39 degree weather for a 90-minute ride. Will then eat lunch and get ready to walk a mile to work for a 12-11 work shift.
Me: Rolls out of bed at 7:10 with intent to kick the cat who's meowing for her breakfast. Gets kids off to school and does a few chores and contemplates *maybe* going for a walk. Once it warms up above 40 degrees. >.< (Managed 40 minutes, now to shower and make lunch and such...)Alison

Argh I can't find my damn Fitbit! I think it's in the baby's room somewhere because I take it off when I rock her but I can't for the life of me figure out what piece of furniture it's rolled under.Wife of a surgical fellow; Mom to a busy toddler girl and 5 furballs (2 cats, 3 dogs)

I have a gross head cold, but it's gorgeous out. I'm going to try to squeak in a 45-60 minute walk before I go to the grocery store and work in the garden...Alison
