Now that I've established the habit I can be a little more lax -- I really only NEED to be at the gym by 7:30 on Wednesdays and Fridays but most other days I still get there early.
And you will certainly adjust to working out first thing. It has turned into a sacred time, even if it's at a gym. Also, between the FitBit challenges and the fact that the same 3-5 people are at the gym every morning it's a nice accountability routine.Alison

Bonus! I am not sure I can do it on school days though, and I don't usually need to since I get some blocks of free time most days, so it'll mostly be a weekend thing for now, and then a summer thing. But I might try to hit the road as early as I can after they get on the bus…
Glad you've managed it, just need to do same.Using Tapatalk

DH said something similar, so I'm going to keep at it!
He uses a cool program called Golden Cheetah to track his cycling workouts, base improvements, and fatigue. It's really neat!

DH worked all night, so I knew I wouldn't be able to run this morning with two kids in tow.
Went to work out, and she had us doing sprint intervals peppered with bodyweight exercises for an hour straight (sprint intervals for 45 seconds, bodyweight for 1 minute).
So much for being worried about speedwork training! 😄
