  • What's for dinner on this fine October day?

Because I have to go to the grocery store after work and need recipes!

    We're having crocopot chicken parmesan - http://fullbellies.blogspot.com/2011...-parmesan.html.

We haven't tried this recipe yet, but chick parm is one of my favorite meals!

Cook's Illustrated's Butternut Squash Soup, but I'm sure that won't be enough so I should scrounge something else up. Maybe a repeat of yesterday's tofu fried rice.

Whatever the dude makes because I still can't stand long enough to cook a meal. Most likely will end up being something weird and inedible so we'll have to get a pizza.

His heart is in the right place, but unless he's making a smoothie or grilling salmon, the dude is kinda useless in the kitchen.

Grilled Chicken and Spinach-Cheese Bake (http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/spin...10000001611735 - really yummy, just increase the amount of salt and spices or it can come out a little bland (also, since you're pregnant, the iron is really good for you)! I would use real eggs (or half real and half substitute). You can't taste that much of a difference imo, but I like to get the health benefits of eggs!) and apple caramel pizza for dessert (slightly sweetened pizza dough (use about a quarter cup of honey in your normal recipe), sliced apples (precooked for a about 15-20 min covered in sugar)...pour the sliced apples (and juices) on the pizza dough and (carefully) throw in the oven. Drizzle generously with caramel once fully baked).

DH told me he put a pot roast in the crockpot; he just reported that it smells really good. I like having him home all day. He's using some crock pot cookbook he picked up a while back; he made lemon garlic chicken last week that was really good.

I made this last week! It was really good, but needed more butter (a lot) and salt than the recipe called for.

Tonight it's likely Firehouse Subs or Taco Bell. Golf and baseball are both tonight, and so, takeout it is!

DH is one of the late guys tonight, so if we're very lucky Digiorno Pizza. Most likely, though, he'll eat at the hospital and I'll have some Easy Mac.

Cornflake chicken and potatoes. Both weight watchers recipes though so I have no idea how they will turn out. I had an amazing wrap for lunch though. Turkey with cream cheese and apricot preserves. DEEE lish.

Potluck Supper in the Sukkah at temple tonight. So, it will be an all dairy/meat free buffet. Most people will bring salads or sweets. I made a pasta salad with lemon, basil, and pine nuts since those with the A-M last names had to bring sides or salads. Wish I was in the other half of the alphabet because I'd rather bake.

Oh, and the Dawter just called to tell me he has to attend a mandatory residents' meeting at 5 so I'll be juggling the pasta salad and 2 babies on my own tonight. Buffet style self-serve meals out are just hard with babies.

A butternut squash and lentil curry soup thanks to epicurious and our CSA...yum yum!

And only 7 points per serving and it's not even a WW recipe.
