Oh, I am so very sorry.
    It does get better... *hug*

          • Today my dining room has been taken over by a chef party! I made my own cupcake stand today and just finished personalizing 11 aprons. Why is it I'm only crafty when its one of my kids' birthday?

Very cool! I am excited to get settled and have kiddos that are a bit older so I can plan fun parties for them!

                  • Today, I discovered that yet another aquaintance whom I thought was at least 15 years older than I am, is less than 4 years older than I. About a week ago, a friend of a friend mentioned that she is a grandmother (her daughter is 26, grandchild is 1). . . and she is 6 years older than I am. Really? Am I really *that* old?

                      • She's 44, had her daughter at 18. The daughter is now 26 and has a 1 yo. I have other friends - contemporaries - whose children are grown.

That happened to me a couple of weeks ago too! A girl I volunteer with was talking about her new grandbaby so I thought my assumption about her being close to my age was wrong... nope, I was not wrong. She's less than 5 years older than me.

                            • This is all crazy Although my parents weren't super-young when I was born (Dad was 30), and I wasn't super-young when I had DD (I was 29). I still find myself thinking "how can this person be a grandparent, he's my parents' age"! Then I remember, d'oh, my parents are grandparents In some ways, I still think of myself and my contemporaries as being so young, but many of my students are out of college!

                              • Tread lightly. Some of us have older children. Luanne is a grandmother, and a fabulous one at that, I'm sure! My son turns 15 this month. Yikes!
