  • Today, I am doing one hundred and eleventy loads of laundry. DD3 had decided that she must change her clothes at least 4 times a day. She does this and then drops the previous outfit down the laundry shoot where they mingle with DS9's stinky socks and dirty dish cloths so there is no salvaging them. Yesterday, was a new record of 7 changes, three of which were a variety of pajamas all done within about 4 minutes of each other. She is getting dangerously close to having all clothing removed from her room.

Today, I am gearing up (mentally) for a weekend where I will have a minimum of 3 children at my house at any given time and at one point on Saturday, there will be 6 of them, including 2 3 year olds. And I need to take DD3 shopping for pants and shoes because she has none and it is getting cold.

    • Today I made myself a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch with the blueberry cobbler cheddar cheese I found at Market Street. That cheese was well worth the $4 I paid for 1/2lb. De-freaking-lish.

            • Happy birthday, MrsK!

Today, I had a huge physics exam that I only did meh on. Shit.

Today, I am procrastinating studying for my o.chem exam (not too worried) and my molecular physiology exam (sweet mother, I'm gonna PUKE) that are tomorrow morning. DH has worked 6 calls out of the last 8 days, and today was a "priority" day, which means he had the heaviest schedule outside of the call team. He just got home. I am tapped out but really really need to study.

Today, our driveway finally got paved! (the topcoat) Yay! Only a few tiny things left that are being taken care of in the next few weeks (theoretically...I haven't gotten a definite date yet!) and we are DONE with this damn house!

                      • Today, I am very grateful for iMSN and all your birthday wishes. Yesterday didn't suck but it was very lonely. I really should have planned a party or something. I haven't really celebrated my birthday since we began The Nomadic Medical Journey. It just seemed unimportant with all the moving, the dawkter's schedule, the children. But I'm beginning to think that birthday celebrationss are important if only to say "I'm here too!" I told K1 it was my birthday and he kept asking where were the balloons and cupcakes and the "I appreciate yous". . . He's a smart kid.

Today I'm back in the "office" after a few days away for work. Work travel totally drains me, but it is always great to be reminded that I have some wonderful colleagues and work for a totally awesome organization.
                          So glad it's Friday!

                              • Today, my nephew woke me up at 6 am. It is going to be a very LONG day. Thankfully a friend has decided to spend his Saturday evening with me as I juggle more kids than I can typically handle. (I'm not a kid person at all. Kudos to those with large families, I admire your ability to do it all. But it is beyond me to do it gracefully for more than 47 seconds.)

                                After lunch, I will have 6 kids here, 11, 9, 9, 7, 3 and 3. Hold me.
