Today is K1's first day of preschool. He was so excited that he couldn't sleep last night. He kept saying that he was afraid he'd miss preschool. (We made a "Preschool License" listing his interests and what he wants to learn. Interests include Monkeys, Corndogs, Coloring, and the Library. Want to learns include: Numbers, about crocodiles, new songs, and how to be a "nice guy".)
Today, K2 and I are earnestly potty training. I'd rather not but he's absolutely refused to wear a diaper. Each time I put one on him or even just pants, he wrestles and screams. Then takes it off and sits on the potty. Every time I offer him a pair of pants, he runs over and sits on the potty. So, now I've got a bottomless toddler sitting on a potty in my livingroom and everytime he gets up, I'm worried he'll pee on the carpet. Aaaand, guess who just peed in the potty!!! .Last edited by MrsK; 12-31-2012, 11:10 AM.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.

K2 is 3 for 4 so far today! He's been completely bottomless except I managed to force him into a diaper for lunch (and he kept dry!). DrK might be able to pick K1 up this afternoon. He was expecting a short day. I don't know what I'm going to do when it's time to go out. K1 still wears pull ups for errands.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.

I just checked in with K1's teacher. They are settling down for naptime now. She said that he's had a good day, played with a couple friends that moved up a to preschool from his class in the last few months, shared his Preschool License with the others during circle time, and had two potty accidents -- more than K2 has had today Maybe they should both go bottomless tomorrow?. She says she's impressed with his manners and how well he's following the other children, observing and then doing as they do without being told. K2's in a diaper for naptime and I sooooo need a break. Following him around and fretting that he's going to pee on the sofa or hurt his vunerable little parts is exhausting! He was trying to ride a rocking horse while nude, ouch!Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.

Traumatic in the comical sense. Dd was hell bent on making a snowman (we don't get much snow where we are), and wanted to be let out of the car as soon as she saw even the smallest bit of it. We managed to get to Steven's Pass, but the snow was too powdery to make anything decent.
We might try again during the summer months. It's a pretty good remake of a Bavarian town, and the backdrop is just gorgeous.married to an anesthesia attending

We've had a TON of fog in the last couple of weeks. It's so weird. Seems like almost every time it snows or rains, we get a funky, low-lying fog.
If your DD wants to play in the snow, come on over! We've had about a foot of really wet snow for damn near ever. The kids have been sledding/building snowmen/building snow forts/having snowball fights/etc. for weeks. Our crazy steep driveway is perfect for sledding.
Leavenworth is pretty cool in the summer, too. It's considered the off-season, so rentals are much more reasonable. It's such a cute town.
