Today we begin the first leg of the long drive home from the sickest vacation ever. My poor mom is probably not going to sleep well until she sees me and is assured I'm fine. I didn't call because my daughters pointed out she would panic if she heard my cough.

Today I helped shovel and snow blow the driveway (My parents have a large circle driveway.) I then found our ancient childhood sled (plastic, red, and 25 years old) and made J pull me on it to see if It would hold my weight. It does and we might go sledding later day. Hello spring vacation.-L.Jane

Today I am snuggling with my Great Dane puppy on the couch and reading iMSN posts. I love the toilet paper roll post by the way! I need to start thinking out of the box while trying to get DH to do something (or not do something) that utterly annoys me.

We will have been together for more than a 1/3 of our lives!

Today was Palm Sunday--our parish does a passion play. N yelled "owweeee" (randomly, she doesn't know what it means) when they nailed Jesus to the cross. And then started head banging and singing when the solemn song started.Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

Today, the K Bros were standing at my door demanding breakfast at 6AM notwithstanding that they did not go to bed until 11:45PM last night. I responded, "C'mon, do you really have to eat breakfast *every* day? Go back to bed!" The intersection of daylight savings time, K2's newfound ability to undress and jump out of his crib, and our decision to switch him to a toddler bed has caused a bedtime disaster. Mommy is grumpy.
Today, I am preparing a Passover Seder. It's a little one for just us - no guests this year. I'm not even making an entree because by the time we get done eating all the traditional stuff we are supposed to eat (matzo, eggs, matzo ball soup, gefilte fish, charoset, nana's mocha torte. . .), no one will want to eat brisket or chicken. I hate Passover cooking. All this unfamiliar stuff that I make once a year, so many things you have to make, so many things you cannot make. . . and it goes on all week. Mommy is grumpy.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.

I love this thread--so fun!
Today, we had a two hour delay due to snow. Yes, snow. About 5 inches of snow. Since I work for the school of medicine, DH and I both get to benefit from delays or closings related to holidays or weather. So we got to stay up later last night watching a movie (Winter's Bone) and got to sleep in a little bit.
Today, I am officially husband-less until Friday because DH has a huge Immunology exam on Friday. So that means I get to prepare meals only for myself. So I am planning on having a baked potato for dinner, and that excites me.
Today, I found out I've lost about seven pounds in two weeks--and a favorite pair of jeans fits way better than they have since the fall!
Today, I am planning on catching up on some grad school work, and some DVR'ed TV shows with a bottle of wine.Wife, support system, and partner-in-crime to PGY-3 (IM) and spoiler of our 11 y/o yellow lab

Today, the chicken-hating neighbors were at it again, but I'm going to "keep calm and build a bigger pen."
Here's hoping those who travel this summer find Casa de 13 in better shape than it is now. Come on, veggies!
