Today I am going out with a large group of people - the Beer By Bike Brigade. I have a feeling I may have found my peeps. Of course, this is the last ride of the season, but I am already looking forward to spring!

So much for birthday dinner. The K Bros were so obnoxious that we had to haul them out of the restaurant. Now they are screaming in the car while we wait for carry out. Can't even go home since the kitchen is packed.

MrsK - I'm sorry about the boys, but Happy Birthday and Happy end of Residency!!!!

I got an iPhone 5S today. We passed the Apple store, and jumped into the AT&T store on the off chance they got any phone. I picked up the last one. DH wanted one too. He gave me a hard time for about two seconds before I reminded him of all the crappy phones, apartments, etc I endured while making a really good living (had I been single), to help him get to this point in his career. He hasn't said a word about it since.

Today we took the kids to see Choo Choo Soul. It was so much fun! I may have liked it even better than they did...

Today I am absolutely exhausted, but I really had a good time at the retreat this weekend! Finally got to know some of the ladies better, got invited to sub for the bunco group, and they're going to get together for dinner some night and have a little baby shower for us.

I'm thankful for the interview I just had; hoping it went well enough to get the position.
I'm excited to hear all about DrB's first day in his new rotation.
I'm relieved all our wedding vendors have been booked.

Recently, S has been telling me that she is best friends with a little boy named T. They are not in the same class but still see each other just about daily, albeit with little interaction

Today, we saw them at pick up and I told his mom what S has been saying about him. I wanted to feel her out and see if he sees S as a friend or if he didn't know she exists.

Mom said that he talks about her all the time and said that when he sees her he get butterflies.

I just about melted on the spot from the cuteness!

Super busy day, but I cam home to find out DH had planned to cook dinner tonight. Such a relief!

Unrelated: can we all agree that Bonnie Raitt's 'I can't make you love me' is just about the saddest song there ever was? I'm not in a particularly sad mood but it came on during my drive home and my god. So sad and good.

First and foremost, we never do anything but work!!!! This is a day or two late, but we spent Saturday night sitting in the rain in Philadelphia, listening to Steely Dan. The muusic was great, but the rain really sucked. We made up for it on Sunday, we had incredible seats at Yankee Stadium for the final game for Mariano and Pettite. They also retired Jackie Robinson's number and his wife and daughter were there. Metallica played in honor of Mariano! It was great, and I don't really even like baseball, but DH was IN HEAVEN!

Today I told my mom that she couldn't come up and visit again before winter. I love my family dearly, but I've seen them FAR too much since we've moved back to the same state. Didn't help that the ONLY time they could come up was during DH's vacation time (his only vacation all year) and I'm not having company when he's off. Dude needs some time to unwind that doesn't involve planning shit around my mom's and grandpa's scheduling needs.
