      • Today, I missed the Dirty Girl race because of my busted knee. I tried to run the other day and I was able to take four total steps. Boo.

Today, I should be doing my homework and studying. Instead I keep hopping online. Bad, bad, bad.

Today, I made a BAS (big ass salad) for dinner and it was ah-mazing. Field greens, peppers, red onions, bacon, tomatoes, steak chunks, balsamic vinegar and homemade blue cheese dressing. That would be my desert island food.

Today, I gave myself a much needed pedicure and went to the gym.

            • Today, SO and I didn't get home from the tea shop until nearly 9 PM, and then were not hungry for dinner. So we ate slices of melon from farmer's market, and decided that was enough!

              • Today, I went to pick apples only to discover that we were too late and that there were only a few left on the tree and the vast majority were already rotting on the ground. There went my plan of putting up enough apple juice to last us a good part of the winter.

                • Kris, I'm sorry that happened. The orchards here aren't ready for picking yet, I don't think.

Today, I'm posting up a storm because I'm so frickin close to 100 posts!!!!!

We wanted to pick apples last week and discovered there was absolutely no apple picking this year in our area because of bad crops.

Mmmmm! Was Urban Agrarian there? They have the best local produce! I still have some of their sage honey, but I may need to recruit you to be my supplier when I run out!

                      • They were. Got a few apples from them. I'd be happy to be your supplier . I got a lavender plant, some peppermint oil and some a few other veggies at the market. I was surprised it wasn't bigger though.

                        • Which one did you go to? The Edmond farmer's market was a good size, but you have to be careful - only about 4-5 booths are local, and the rest just buy from all over the US and charge a lot for lower quality than a grocery store. Urban Agrarian is all Oklahoman, though, and their employees are really knowledgeable. They'll tell you when to expect different things to be available.

                          • Today, I'm thinking of going to a local hotel's hot tub and saltwater swimming pool! I'm trying to decide if getting a monthly membership (they also have a very small exercise room) would be worth it and if swimming there would be beneficial for my RSI pain. Chlorine triggers my asthma, so I'm grateful our town has a saltwater pool.

Today, I'm not worrying about my post count. Apologies for being so obsessive about that!

Today, I'm sad because there's no mail and I'm waiting for two packages: the hands-free leash I ordered over a week ago, and two books from Amazon to replace the library books I spilled water all over. AAAHHHH! (The library director said I either owed $60, or could buy new hardcover copies of the books online if that was cheaper than $60.)

Today, if I can get through my to-do list, I'm going to try and finish reading bell hooks's memoir... she's one of my favorite authors.

Oh, that sounds so super-awesome. I wanna go too!

Today, DrK is at work. I'm home with the kids because nothing is open before noon on Sunday except for McDonalds and the grocery. By noon, the boys will be napping so I'm pretty much stuck home until about 3. Thankfully, K1 is content to watch PBS and K2 is amusing himself by dragging the diaperbag back and forth across the living room.

Today, I'm trying out the crockpot granola recipe.
