  • Mother of a 6 moth old on Facebook posted a HuffPost article about how all handheld devices should be banned from children under 12.

There's another one about how I'll continue to let my child use handheld devices. I like that much better.

Related, I'm so tired of my friends posting crap like that with statuses like "I'm so glad I don't do this/eat that etc." I've started commenting with Snopes links on half of them because it's all BS, and the rest I just want to congratulate them for being better than me while I roll my eyes.

          • Today I remembered (thanks to a alarm reminder on my phone) to marinade the chicken this morning. I cooked a delicious dinner of balsamic tomato chicken with roasted rosemary and thyme potatoes and steamed green beans. And then I ate dinner by myself because J is still studying at the hospital on his day off. At least it was turned out yummy.

            • Today, I think it's best if I interact with as few people as possible. So so cranky after working 7 days straight (8 as of today) -- though I did take Saturday afternoon off.

              • Today I think I'm going to stay at home and work in the peace and quiet. I had to be home for the appliance repairman to get my freezer fixed (YAY, my milk stash is safe!), so I dropped E off at school and came home to wait. I'm dressed and ready to go in, and the appliance man even came early and finished relatively quickly. But now that he's gone, I don't think I want to leave. I don't remember the last time I've been home by myself in a quiet house!
