Olympic coverage

When I was at the '96 Olympics, I met a few players Romanian Water Polo players in the Olympic Park. 16 years later and still *swoon* ... yes, they were a highlight of the Olympics for both my mother and I (my dad and brother didn't really get it).

That is who is finishing up a game with the USA team right now. Wow is all I can say! I'm a new "fan."

I think I'm missing the gene where I swoon at men...

I can be like, wow, that guy is attractive. But I've never drooled, run longer on a treadmill, watched something I wouldn't normally watch, etc. That's a topic for another thread...just interesting.

This is where the internet gets tricky. I meant, I don't swoon over Olympians, or celebrities (I guess I wasn't thinking of Olympians as celebrities), or anyone else. I'm not a swooner either.

I've decided the rest of you don't swoon because y'all aren't southerners. To perform a proper swooning, you really need very fine petticoats and an accordion fan. If you can arrange to be near a fainting couch as well, that's preferable.

Yesterday was for sure the best night of the Olympics yet. The girls did fantastic!
