Ho-lee-crap. When we saw where you were moving, we were thinking you'd be in for a snowy winter...guess so.

We got snow this morning! So exciting. It didn't stick and it's turned to rain now. But the temps are supposed to stay low all week -- we might even have a white Christmas.

I went for a walk in the weather this morning, soggy snow drenching my pants as I walked into the wind, and the whole time I was thinking I'm glad we live where we DO get snow in the winter -- it's so pretty and makes it fun to cozy up indoors -- but also glad that it's a novelty for us! We get our few days over with and back to business as usual...

I really need to move to Florida... *sigh* being a grown up who does the right thing for the kids sucks ass.

And CP? I would LOVE to be in MKE right now. It would be absolutely perfect in so many ways.

Cold for PNW standards. Upper 30s/lower 40s. We had a light dusting of snow overnight. Nothing exciting, after having lived in Chicago.

I'm such a killjoy for the kids. I keep thinking the same thing about the snow. "Meh, we had a LOT more living in Lake Michigan's lake-effect region..."

The kids were ecstatic to have a late-start due to snow on Monday. I was shocked that there even was one. In IN, we didn't have them even when we had feet of snow on the ground with a blizzard warning.

Hah! We kind of figured as much, too.

82 degrees today which is the highest it will be for a while. (honestly couldn't figure out if I was running a fever or just overheated from taking the dogs for a walk this am) Tomorrow night it's supposed to drop to 29. The weather in South Texas ranges from Too F-ing Hot to schizophrenic.

People are complaining about how very cold it is. It was down to 39 overnight... And tomorrow might be just as chilly. Brrrrrrrr. Everyone is bundled up in parkas and mittens and I haven't even gotten mine out of storage. I wore a sweater today. That's it. Sweater weather.

Not missing the freezing cold warm up the car de-ice the walk and shovel the sidewalk routine. Not at all.

70s and windy/overcast today. A front is coming in overnight to drop us to a high in the 40s tomorrow.

And, of course, there is "BlizzardWatch2012" for Christmas, projected at my parent's house. *facepalm*

                      • We might get an inch of snow on Friday. I'm excited. It doesn't snow here in Detroit anymore, it's bizarre. When we moved to Ann Arbor six years ago there was crazy snow. We haven't had even a dusting yet.

                        • It's beautiful here, 50s-60s. It's supposed to cool off to the 40s on Friday.

                          • It feels like tornado season. It's bizarre.

Omaha got slammed with snow, though--hoping it is still there when we arrive on Christmas Eve! The next winter storm might be in our favor too (meaning no problems getting in and out of Omaha, but getting snow while we are there). These Texans want a white Christmas!
