  • One of the things I was excited about when moving was the fact that I would not have to deal with snow and ice anymore. Yes, there is snow and ice in TX.
It was not a lot but it did snow way too close for my comfort. Now it is just raining and cooooold.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

Ha,ha. You know how in the movies major cities are always targeted/get destroyed by aliens, Godzilla and other monsters with super powers? If the movie was based in Dallas, it would be an ice storm.

      • I have 2/3 bottle of wine, rum, and tequila. If I run out of supplies, I can put on my Emu boots and walk 1/4 mile to my sister's.

            • F'ing terrible. Wet, icy, snowy grossness. And perfectly timed for travel tomorrow. Awesome!

Hope everyone else's travel plans aren't impacted.

              • We are "enjoying" a snow storm here as well. Lovely chilling temps, sleet, freezing rain, snow - awesome. Apparently the local news lady labeled it "Gobblegeddon"; I'm not sure I'd go quite that far but it's inconvenient.

Drive safely, SS! It is forecasted to end here in Pittsburgh by tomorrow morning so you should be clear by the time you reach us! (assuming you will)

                      • I am so over this cold weather. Sub zero wind chill should only occur in January.

Makes me wish I could pick up and move. Tomorrow...

Wait seriously? Its like a light dusting of sloppy, wet snow. There's no "geddon" about it. It's a little annoying getting my shoes wet... but I can't bear to break out big winter boots because it would look absurd wearing them with so little snow on the ground... maybe I need some wellies for living here.

                              Yes to the wellies!

I think some places a bit north of Pittsburgh did get quite a bit of accumulation. I feel like the area they call "up by Pittsburgh" on the weather channel is enormous - and has pretty inconsistent weather.

                              • Drive is going well so far. Flurries but nothing to slow us down and we are about 30 minutes east of Columbus.
