  • ST, that's funny stuff! Will the city shut down if it snows?!

    • Yes. Or if it is just raining and cold like now. I hate Dallas drivers. I missed my OB appt because a 20 min drove took over an hour because people were going 20 on a wet (not slick) highway. I'm refraining from using lots of bad words right now.

The GROUND IS ABOVE FREEZING. It will get bad, but not until later.

        • Icemageddon 2013 is living up to it's name! Downed trees (my sister's boyfriend got his first tree call at 6:30am), power outages, solid sheets of ice that look like snow.

                  • It was 30 when I woke up today!!!! Our average high, this time of year, is 68...we'll be lucky if we make it to the mid 50s!

I know, it looks so fun, and the kids want to play in it. I went out to take some pictures and could barely stand up in places it was so slick. This is out our front door. All ice.

                          • Guess we lucked out. We have lots of fluffy snow. Underneath is ice but lots of playful snow on top.

                            • All ice. Ugh. The nearest parish canceled all but mass this weekend. All ballet crap has been canceled today, but not tomorrow. I guess we'll go to our parish for mass tomorrow then take the girls to rehearsal. All in our little CRV.

                              • Ice and snow! I love this kind of weather, but now that I'm married to a medical guy it concerns me more. If only people would quit needing medical care during snow storms so he would never have to drive in them!

That said, this was the most perfectly-timed snow-storm ever. DH had a short clinic day Friday (he's on 4th year rotations) and the residents let him go home early to try to beat the weather. He came home and we've been able to enjoy a cozy weekend inside together. Snow doesn't keep away his text books or upcoming boards, but it's still been fun to have some together time with minimal outside interruptions.
