  • After a short heat wave in July, it has been like fall for the last month. It got down almost to 50 last night, and we have a high of 67. The highest it's been recently was 85, and that didn't last long. We have only used the AC for a week this summer! I love it!

I hate it! I'm not ready for fall. This would be gorgeous fall weather but it's only August! I like fall but AFTER summer... and I despise winter.

I feel robbed of a summer.

      • I'd donate a toe to get some fall weather right about now. As it is, it's still impossible to go outside between the hours of 10A and 5P.

          • I haven't been out today, but the past couple days were hot sticky NC type of days. The humidity got high enough to remind me how I use to just choke on it for four summers in NC.

                • It's in the mid-90s here with very low humidity. I've been drinking my morning coffee on the deck each day before we head to the lake that's 10 minutes from the house.

This place doesn't suck in the summertime, at all.

                    • It's freakin' hot! To make matters worse the "monsoonal flow" this year has failed to deliver. Today and tomorrow it will easily hit & most likely surpass 110℉/43.33℃. I still can't get over how STUPID it is that we start back to school the beginning of AUG!! Starting back the end of Sept. would make sooo much more sense for us. Having to run every school's AC (At FULL Power) during peak consumption times, during the peak heat of the summer is such a great way to spend tax payers $$.

                      • That's crazy, Momo!

We have highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. Pretty much my idea of heaven and we're practically living outdoors.

I get sick just thinking about that. Oh, that really sucks.

                          • I was surprised to walk out this morning into low humidity and 65 degrees. I daresay it was chilly! It's a little overcast but being able to breathe instead of feeling like stepping outside is actually WETTER than an actual shower is a nice break. I don't trust it though, soon enough we'll be back to stifling humidity. The high temps I don't mind but the humidity I can't take. I'd love to experience some dry heat.

                            • It's a summer miracle -- the high is supposed to be below 90 today!! Plus it's cloudy so it genuinely feels like 80 something. Thank you cold front + tropical depression.
