Your system is probably low on refrigerant and needs a refill. It's a super easy fix that takes about 10-15 minutes total, some more refrigerant, and a pressure gauge.

I thought that might be it, but when I mentioned it to DH he said it was probably not feeling as cold because it was so hot and humid out. I knew I should trust my gut and get it checked

My parents had one installed. No idea how much it cost but mom loved it.

            • We are going to be getting bids for new HVAC units so maybe I'll ask about that.

              • Knock on wood, today is stunning. It is only about 70 degrees, with a breeze and the sun is shining. My house is open and I don't envision closing it up for a few days. Love this... LOVELOVELOVE this.

                • Lucky ducks! Looks like Dallas is going to cool off a bit for the conference!

By cool off, I mean highs in the mid 90s, but it means being "hot" vs "intolerably hot"

Downside is it looks to be humid

                  • We've had a relatively mild summer so far, which freaks me out because when that happens it usually means a butt fucking hot autumn. I do not want to be wearing shorts in November.

                    • 96* with 28% humidity. Not a cloud in the sky. After a weekend on the west side of the state, I've come to appreciate our area even more.

The other "happy place" thread got me thinking. My home is my happiest place. Specifically, my covered deck that overlooks the valley, river, and surrounding mountains.

We're in the mountains. Definitely lots o' trees.
