My motto is "there are very few people that care about your life as much as you do". People that post like 15 times a day with selfies, kid photos, posts about themselves are oversharers.Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

I like kid posts, but don't do many myself because my teens would kill me. It's the "singles posting from bars" and "when I was a kid we were tougher" stuff that bother me when it gets excessive. I think it has to do with what phase of life you are in. I try not to let that stuff bother me, after all, I can just skim past it on the feed. You can always hide someone that's bothering you!

I think the constant "woo we are out at the bars" posts are also obnoxious, so it's not just the parent oversharing that irks me. It's all social media oversharing that drives me bonkers. (And I'm an oversharer in real life!)I'm just trying to make it out alive!

Are we FB friends? I post a lot about my kid! I do try to show some restraint though, like not posting about the fact that she peed on me this morning, and then she peed on the changing table tonight. I don't know what the deal was with all the pee today. I'd say that I mostly post so that my out of town family (which is most of them) can see her, but I won't lie - I love showing her off.Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer

I don't think anyone from this site is a FB oversharer. (But then, maybe it's me? ) I don't post much anymore. It seems like there's someone who's annoyed by pretty much anything post-able, so I generally stick to check-ins if I'm somewhere fun, linking articles I find interesting, and loading pictures 2-3 times per month. I'm sure people get annoyed by that, too, but what can I do except delete my account?Laurie

That's why I say post what you want. Let the people who are too annoyed move on. There are so many social networks these days that you can find a community that suits you; these annoyances are normal on FB, take it or leave, I say! Lol

Holy moly, don't post too much about your kids, don't post anything political, don't post anything religious, don't tell me you're having fun, be real but please don't post anything too emotional, don't only post happy things, don't start your update with the letter "T", don't post on days that end in "ay"...
Seriously, post whatever the hell you want, annoyed folks can choose to be annoyed or just keep on scrollingTara
