  • I had a friend message me a few years ago wanting to save us money on our electric bill through some stupid company (sounded like a pyramid scheme to me).

My recent pet peeve - step-MIL says "FRAME" or "This needs a frame" to every other picture I post. Um, I'm glad you like my pictures, but if I framed every picture I took, it would get a little out of hand. She also doesn't realize that people usually stop saying "Cool Beans" when they're about 12.

    • I once went to a ladies night out that was the dreaded Essential Oils party in disguise. I didn't buy anything and they didn't hound me though, so it was still fun

I totally say "cool beans." I am decidedly not 12.

                • The Essential Oils posts are going to kill me. One friend is curing colds, another is using it to turn breech and posterior babies.

I have to ask dh if he's heard this one. Although I know he'd tell his ladies that it likely can't hurt and if it makes them feel proactive then go ahead and try it

My friend is being sold oils to cure her hyperthyroidism, with nodules on her thyroid so big she's having trouble swallowing and breathing.

                      • I'm of the opinion that if I have to purchase something directly from someone else, it's hard to trust what they say regarding its health claims.
So, oregano oil CURES Ebola, but I can't just pick it up at the store, or inquire of it at my doctor's office - I have to buy it directly from you, huh?
How convenient -- my health hangs in the proverbial balance of something you happen to actively sell for a living...

I had an encounter today with the Huffers. I'm all for aromatherapy, but I draw the line there without peer reviewed journal articles for this that and the other.

The irony here is that doctors "are making a killing" off of selling us on antibiotic use and promoting vaccines, and yet, you, Jane P. Housewife, are just out to help me save my family from the flu. Using the thing YOU sell.
                        Interesting.

                          • I have a friend that just fell hook, line and you know the rest for these oils. They do help with her headaches and other common issues. She was surprised when I told her that yeah, peppermint is great and she can get it cheaper at her local grocery store.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

                              • I have stopped following so many people on FB because I just don't care about their oils, Thirty One bags, or R&F products I want to hear about people's lives and families!
