  • MrsK- no sleep makes the days soooo rough!
ALoY - most daycares allow NOTHING in the cribs (even blankets) per state regulations. Is definitely speak with the director and try to drop in unexpectedly if possible.

    • I talked to one of the other teachers this morning and got the Boppy out of her crib, so all is well with that. I also asked them to not dump any of her bottles if she wasn't drinking it all. I don't know if they were or not, but I know in her old class she'd occasionally leave an ounce of so and finish it later. Because of that, and the fact that I only have so much milk to send and she's really eating a good amount of food, I went back to sending only 5oz bottles instead of 6oz (she's taking 2 bottles at daycare and nursing 3-4 times at home). I would have run out completely this week if I hadn't been able to build up a small stash last week while she was home sick.

I'd still talk to the director. It's a safety issue that impacts other children as well. Our previous center had a "nothing in the crib but a tight, fitted crib sheet" rule.

        • I took my car in today to get the tires changed. I've had a slow leak for a while and was just going to get the 2 rear tires done. The guy told me that the front tires were already at the wear bar, so I needed to get those done as well. I realized I am due for an oil change as well. Then, I got a call that they had the front end tore apart and discovered that I need new brake pads and rotors as well. If I walk away from this for less than $800 I will be shocked.

On the plus side, I have the money to pay for it.

          • I am so sick of all food sounding terrible. Even when I'm not nauseous, I'm starving, and everything I can think of sounds gross. Can I just have some kind of textureless, tasteless supplement for the next 3ish weeks so I'm not so freaking hungry all the time? I don't even want to eat.

                  • E and I were supposed to go to the park with a friend after work/school today so we could hang out and so that I could practice my photography. She bailed, so I guess we'll have to go by ourselves, which won't be nearly as fun. Plus E doesn't sit still very well for pictures. I guess strapped in the stroller she won't have much option, but I was looking forward to the hanging out part.

I'm fine. I was going super slow, I just wasn't thinking and I totally misjudged how much room I had. I'm so annoyed at myself for doing that!

I have this ridiculously orchestrated plan to make sure my children have someone to watch them, we have food in the house, and I can get them places in time. I was driving home like a maniac from work to get N to swim lessons. My SIL is sick so my brother was watching the kids and I told him to have N ready to go.

I get home late with 5 min til class starts because work kept me late and find her sleeping and not remotely ready. Because DH came home early and sent my brother home. And god forbid he answer his phone or use critical thinking to determine that maybe she needed to be up and ready.

On the way home I was ranting to my mom about how I'm tired of orchestrating these ridiculous plans at work and at home. It's even better when DH undoes it in in one fell swoop.
