I'm looking for a new car because DS's car seat barely fits into mine. DH and I start out looking at family friendly crossover reviews on youtube and end up looking at sports sedans. I don't think I'm ready for a grown up car.Student and Mom to an Oct 2013 boy

It's noon. I just got out if the tub. I haven't gotten dressed yet. I ate cookies in bed for breakfast.
My afternoon plans may include clothes, and lunch at a new casual seafood place by my house - it's a little more $$$ than I'd hoped, but it has great reviews. Lobster BLT? Okay! But, I have to get dressed, so there's that. Decisions.Heidi, PA-S1 - wife to an orthopaedic surgeon, mom to Ryan, 17, and Alexia, 11.

I feel out of place with all these Dawker Wives in my city even though they're "down to earth." The giant house in the most exclusive n'hoods ( you know the ones that are the same sq footage as one down the street but 300k more simply bec of the street) or the ones that are in 6,000 sq ft, but they're moving to the water now, so buying a new crazy expensive house, but it's a foreclosure so we got a good deal! and the giant wedding rings.

Hey! Don't knock foreclosure deals on really nice houses by the water!
I'm sorry you're not feeling like it's a good fit. I'm sure you'll meet some people to gel with. It takes time. It's hard, but it takes time. I'm just starting to feel like I have friends here. 4 years later.Heidi, PA-S1 - wife to an orthopaedic surgeon, mom to Ryan, 17, and Alexia, 11.

Heidi, I was not referring to you, which is why I deleted my response. This is not about YOU. It's about an experience I had and how I feel when I'm in a room with a bunch of woman with giant house giant cars and giant rings, but proclaim themselves "down to earth". I'll just stop at that. Goodness.
