OKAY - I'm a TOTAL NERD. (to the tune of "I'm a-leavin' on a jet plane" if you can't tell -- and if you're too young to know the song, I don't want to hear about it).

I'm hosting a cookie exchange here tomorrow night, so I baked up around 10 dozen of these little babies. YUM! I'm tossing the ones for my IMSN friends in the freezer for the weekend, 'cause I know there is no way I'll get them out tomorrow.

I have 7 different recipes I want to make, and I don't know how to narrow it down. I will be baking up a storm this weekend. I suppose I better shorten the list, you think?

Problem: two of the recipes I was going to skip dh and son begged me to make so they could eat some too.

Decisions is right. Are we allowed to ask our cookie receivers what their preferences would be?

I suppose you could ask -- if you don't mind making different ones for each!

No, but I will have to look for it. Cookie porn sounds, well, orgasmic. I may join Jenn this season in cookie orgasms. I love cookies.

My only fear is that my beautiful yummy wonderful cookies (and candies) won't travel well. We received a box of crumbs last year from MIL. Anyone have any ideas on sending cookies for maximum yum factor?

Okay, I have some ideas for packing now. A quick google search helped with that. I'm sorry if the cookies arrive as cookie crumbs, but know I tried my best and they were once delish.

I packed mine in gladware and used some "puppy chow" as packing material (not real puppy chow) to keep the cookies from moving, and then put them in a bubble mailer. If they arrive as crumbs then I am truly sorry - let me know, I'll try again.

The Martha Stewart cookie mag has gorgeous photos and the index has a little photo of each cookie next to the name. So clever! And so very Martha.
And right now, Martha would probably be baking her cookies and not on the internet...like me. Must bake!
