I didn't bother with a cup holder or snack tray. So far, I haven't needed either.

We've never had any problems with sturdiness or stability, and I use it multiple times a day most days for outside walks (we walk A LOT). The bottom seat is close to the ground, but the kiddo can't reach the ground. They might be able to touch the spinning wheel, if they wrap their hand around the wheel guard--although we've never had a problem. DD#2 loves to stick her sippy cup over the wheel guard, so that it dangles over and smacks the wheel, making a clackity-clack sound as the spoke rotate.

The one recommendation I would have, though is: ALWAYS put the larger kid in FIRST in the upper seat. The directions clearly warn about this. It can tip backwards if it just has the kiddo in the bottom and no counterweight.

Michele: I admire you for being able to steer that!! HOLY COW! Nice to be able to tote around three so easily, though!

I have the b-ready and love it. I can't say enough good things about it. We have the second seat (was free when we bought it) but since we have just one right now we obviously havnt used it. The b-ready steers really well and easy to push and turn one handed. I seriously cannot say enough good things about this stroller. I love that AM can face me or out depending on her mood! I also like that the wheel are easy to take on and off when extra room is needed in the trunk. Seriously. I LOVE. THE. STROLLER.

So, we went to go have a look-see at strollers today. I was looking at a few and thought that maybe we should go for one that has the option for a dual seater. (Is that forward? I dunno).
Anyway, we looked at the BOB, the Joovy, the City Select, and the UppaBaby Vista. DH *LOVED* the Vista - seriously, he was running around pushing it.
I found out that the second seat only goes to 35 lbs though, and since DS is big, it would probably mean that the littler one would be in the small seat (farthest away from me) and that he would be in the closest seat.
That changed the whole thing for us (plus, the overall cost of the UppaBaby was a huge blow!) and I think we're going for the City Select.

Love Love Love it! We haven't used it as a double yet, but as a single it is amazing. And I love that nobody ever has to ride underneath, and the seats have more options than any of the others.
We bought ours on Babies R Us website, and saved about $50-60 by buying the 2010 instead of 2011. The only difference between the two is about an inch of seat depth, and direction of stitching. All of the attachments from the 2011 will fit the 2010.

I'm sometimes loving it and sometimes not. I can't figure out how to secure the infant seat in all the various configurations so I stick with one or two options. However, that problem is short lived because K2 will be able to use the stroller's second seat in a few months. I love it when I have BabyK with me but if it is just K2 in the infant seat, nothing beats the snap-n-go.

BTW, the baby jogger recommends putting the heavier child nearer to you for better balance. Right now, K2+carseat is heavier than BabyK but that's because they are so close in age. That ratio will probably change once K2 graduates from the infant seat.

Reviving this thread - I need ideas. I'm literally in love with the City Mini Double...I have visited it twice at Babies R Us. Anyone have any ideas on something comparable that isn't $450? I've been looking on CL and not having much luck. We never bought a travel system, etc. We just used the single BOB and then an umbrella stroller but I can't find an umbrella stroller that I trust with a little baby + a toddler. I feel that something like the City Mini is a nice compromise.

We have to get a double BOB so I can work out (I use our single every single day, literally) but it is way too heavy to reasonably use it in and out of the car on errands, etc. Right now I wear DD a lot but I don't think I can wear the new baby and keep track of DD effectively. I will find the BOB duallie on CL and that'll be $350 so I cannot go spending $700++ on strollers for a second baby.

So, anyone have something they love that is comparable to the City Mini? (we have Graco car seat)

I don't personally, but I've heard great things about both the Britax B-Ready and the Phil & Teds double.

                    Unfortunately, both are $$ IMO.
What about a Baby Jogger Expedition double? Should be cheaper.

Britax isn't compatible with anything except Britax car seats so that's a no go. I don't know about the P&T, I'll look into that one.

I had a P&T double - the tandem one and it was VERY nice to not have to deal with a side by side but it was not ideal for a trip, like to the zoo where both kids needed to see. It was definitely lighter and easier to fold/move then the BOB double. Its also nice because the second seat is removable and it can be a single stroller. It is not a jogger though, you can jog with it but it will never be as smooth as the BOB. You can usually buy them used on Craigslist, etc.

You can get an adapter for other car seats. The people I know who have the B-Ready LOVE it, but it isn't cheap either.

For some reason I thought you couldn't on the B ready. I'll look into it!

We have the Britax B-Agile double and I will say it is by far the best double we've ever purchased. It is worth every single penny. It only goes with the Britax infant seats but those are also worth every penny. We've had six different infant seats (all our babies get new car seats). The infant seat is designed so much better than the other ones on the market and dd will be in it well past her first year with still plent of room (ht and wt limits are 32" and 30lbs). The strollers is easily controlled with one hand (even when a baby and 4 year old are riding). It folds quickly and simply and cleans up like a champ. Even our 11 year old can fold it up. It's worth a look, I've had Peg Perego, Aprica, Emmajunga (I forget the spelling) and this stroller easily matches the quality of those.
