I wanted to resurrect this so I could get some more suggestions! I'm 11 books shy of my "Read 50 Books This Year" goal and I want to go out with a bang. I'm currently listening to "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" on audiobook, I just finished "Fangirl" (audio) and am still working my way through "American Gods" - that one is a Kindle book and it's sooo hard for me to find actual reading time these days. The past few weeks, pretty much the only time I've had to actually read a book or on my Kindle is when I walk to and from my car after work.

What do you have for me??

Have you read "The Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafon? There are two more in the series after it. And anything by Isabel Allende? I liked Daughter of Fortune quite a bit, as well as Portrait in Sepia (I can't remember which one is supposed to come first).

I just finished "The Engagements" and started "The Handmaid's Tale". Listening to the audio version and Claire Danes is narrating. Liking it so far...I am 12 books shy of my 50 Books in 2013 goal!

Handmaid's Tale is really good...I read it a few years ago in a book club.

Starting Forever by Pete Hamill tonight for a book club that starts next week...

Anyone have good book club suggestions? We're supposed to bring a few book suggestions...

And the Mountains Echoed. - Khalid Hoseini. I am reading it slowly trying to make it last

Bed of Procrustes- Nassim Taleb. Not as great as the Black Swan, but entertaining.

I'm so jealous of this thread.I'm saving your books for when I'm between semesters. Right now I'm in the middle of Murray Bowen's god-awful family therapy book. My reading life stinks!

I finished Allegiant (last book in the Divergent trilogy) on our vacation. I won't say anything except that I really liked the whole series.

I'm over halfway through this and am loving it. Listening to it as an audio book and I seriously want to take a sick day just so I can lay in my bed and listen to the rest of it. Thanks for the suggestion, I am really enjoying it!

Any other voracious readers reading anything good right now?

Just finished reading Where'd You Go, Bernadette? It's light and fun and SO SO good. Maybe it's because I'm an introvert myself, but I loved this book so much.

Wasn't it great?? I loved it too. I thought it was such a fun story and different than other books I've read lately. As an audiobook, the narration was wonderful as well. That was one of my favorite books of 2013.
