    Today...
I get off of work at 5, change and get to the park by 6 for a softball game, and I'm supposed to be at church for choir practice at 7, but I probably won't get there until 8.
I get my textbooks in the mail for my summer grad school class.
I am playing with lots of data about numbers and classifications of state employees.

Today, I also have softball at 6! Which also means that I have to have an awkward encounter with the ex. Joy. But that also means I get good beer and pizza for dinner, which is very exciting, seeing as...

Today, I ate Cheetos and tabouli for lunch. Very well-balanced.

Today, I will finally go to the post office to send something back to Nordstrom. Don't even remember when I bought it!
I'm just trying to make it out alive!

Today we're on day 4 of rotavirus with our 2nd youngest child. He looks like a World Vision child at this point, just laying on the floor, sipping his gatorade - dehydrated and skinny. Poor thing.

Today I need to clean the house, do some laundry, hit Costco for dinner things and get dinner prepped

Today DH comes home, exams are over. Big sigh of relief

Today I want to run away

Today my husband has two more work days until finally a day off.

Today is 3 days away from my 12th year wedding anniversary.

Ms Conception - Have you all had Rotavirus before? It is so, so, so painful. Remember that it is contagious much longer than you would think. We made a mistake and took DD to Christmas about a week after she had it. We infected at least 25 others, with two being hospitalized. It was so, so bad. I'm sorry you're dealing with that!

Well, according to my gf a pediatrician in Oregon, she doesn't think he actually has it - however, my eldest was in hospital for a few weeks and the unit he was on was "teeming with rotavirus", as the nurse put it - so maybe it is!

It started with my dd vomiting on Friday, diarrhea all weekend, and then my second youngest (the one who is sick now) vomiting all day Monday, very loose watery diarrhea on Tues (but no vomiting) and then watery diarrhea all day yesterday and him vomiting violently at the school BBQ and then continuing to vomit and have diarrhea through until about midnight. This morning he woke up at 8, lethargic and pale (he really hasn't eaten since Sunday, but has been drinking watered down gatorade), and then went back to bed - now it's noon and he's awake, eating a small bowl of dry cheerios and some pear. He looks happier and has a little more energy. No more fever. Says his tummy still hurts a little but is just taking it like a little trooper.

My husband however, messaged me this morning to tell me that he was up all night vomiting in the hotel in Ottawa, and has his flight home today. Glad i'm not sitting next to him on the flight

I don't know if we've had it - i'm sure we have. I only found out last weekend that there is a vaccine for Rotavirus, but it's not one that is routine. I would have gladly paid for it out of pocket had our Dr. ever mentioned it to us.

                  Thank God for Lysol.

Today I am losing my voice and I get to spend the day talking to insurance companies.

Today, I am feeling slightly better than yesterday and have aspirations of something other than mac and cheese for dinner. Maybe.

I have managed to get 2 loads of laundry folded, with only one more to go, while sitting on hold indefinitely.

Today I had to attend an ipad training course through my school. They got a grant to put ipads in the schools (although I have been told that none will be available for my choir students) and we are getting paid $20/hr to sit in training.

Today is my youngest's final soccer game of the season.

Today I paid almost $600 for new front and back brakes and back rotors on my Yukon XL. Yikes.

                        Today DH is on call.

Ick! Sorry y'all are dealing with that. Definitely sounds like rotavirus or maybe norovirus, which is going to suck for all the other people on the plane with your DH because both are highly contagious. The rotavirus vaccine was only introduced about 5 years ago and it's typically given at the 2-, 4- and 6- month appointments (or at 2- and 4- months if they give the 2-dose type) so only very young kids would have had the vaccine.

And that rotovirus vaccine usually wears off between 2.5-5 years. It was primarily designed to prevent hospitalizations of infants and infant deaths (usually in under- and undeveloped countries). It tends to be milder in adults and children.
