        • Today, I hat the following discussion with my super-awesome 2yo:
          K2: I'm tired!
          Mommy: No, I'm tired!
          K2: No, I'm tired!
          Mommy: No, I'm tired!
K2: Ok. I'm tired too. . . .but you are more tired.

          • Today, I had to break out the maternity pants. Already! I think I was 5mo along with my first before I needed that. Also, having seen the boys wipe their noses on DrK just before he left for work, it occurred to me that scrubs are really practical mommy apparel. They are comfy, I can sleep in them, adjustable waist for my ever-growing abdomen, and they pass the snot-proof test. I'm thinking of just getting a few pairs to wear for the next year or so. . . I think I need an intervention.

              • Conversation with my cable company:

CC: Hi! You have internet with our company.
                Me: Yes, I do.
CC: Well, we're running a great promotion for cable TV and you qualify.
Me: We don't have a TV.
CC: It would only be $84.99 a month to watch your shows.
Me: You misunderstand, we have No.physical.television.
                CC: ...
CC: You could get one on Craigslist.
Me: (laughing) We CHOOSE not to have a TV.
CC: ... huh? ... Well, have a good day?

I had a similar conversation with my cable company. Internet is only 30 bucks a month with them and I have netflix for TV. I don't want to pay for cable tv. They kept calling and I basically said that unless it was free, I wasn't interested. It was astonishing to hear their surprise...

                  • I've had that exact conversation. They are just flabbergasted that we don't want tv or we don't want more tv.

                    • It's like they can't comprehend why someone would choose such a thing! (We own two TVs and only use one for Xbox and Wii!)

                            • We don't have cable either but the one that really kills me is when they ask if you want to bundle your home phone. I just say "Those still exist??"

I have to have a home phone so I can fax from home. So, using the CC for the phone line at 30 bucks, plus Ooma for the actual VoIP for under 4/mo, plus 8 for Netflix, I feel like we are doing pretty well, roughly $42/mo for phone, internet, and TV.

Then there is the list of Redbox codes I have on my phone and which CC I have used them with. If I were to cheat and swipe the work CC, I could use each code 3 different times before it wouldn't work any more. Not a bad deal.
