That would annoy me! Luckily DH and I are pretty aligned politically. We are both Rubio fans.

And for the first time in my life (granted I'm not that old), I voted in a primary. As someone who almost always votes Republican in Texas, it's hard to feel my vote matters much, but this time I really really don't want Trump to win Texas. (Or Cruz, but he is better than Trump, which says a lot because Cruz is so slimy to me)

We used to have pretty much the same political views. A decent salary and 1.25 kids later he has changed his tune He's still a moderate (a Kasich fan) but likes to annoy me every now and then by saying things like that.

I was embarrassed just to be an American watching the SC debates. Who are these people and why do they think they're on the Jerry Springer show?

I asked my Facebook friends what reservations they have about Hillary. Most of their responses could be said about every other presidential candidate besides Sanders. I love Sanders ideas but when he talks next to Hillary I can't get over the feeling that he belongs in a lecture hall, not the White House. I truly am in line with so much of what he says but at this point big ideas need specific steps. I'd rather someone who has been IN IT, albeit imperfectly, and has a pretty good idea of what can actually be accomplished than someone who wants to "change the system" Yes, I want the system changed, too, but revolution happens when people are so unhappy in their lives they start riots. That's only going to happen if Trump becomes president. In the meantime lets elect someone who is actually qualified to fill the roll. Believe it or not I'm not all that enthusiastic about Hillary. I know for a fact she will do things that I strongly disagree with. But if Bernie is elected everything he tries to do will be blocked. I just can't see him being effective. Hillary has had decades of being in the political sphere. I think she knows where she can make change and where to let it lie. Just my opinion.

It is hard for me to wrap my head around being so one sided. For example, take a dear friend's (will call her Y). There are two Reps running for one position. One candidate (will call dude S) is being accused for voting more often with the dems. Why is this a bad thing - if it is a good idea why not? Another friend (very political and usually sides with Dems - will call her Z) sends out a text about voting early and asking to support candidate S. Friend Y immediately responds with a nope because he is a Republican. Ummmm, ooooKay. Let us not take into account what the dude has or not done. What is up with that? If I ask about it, she will get defensive - so, I don't. I really do want to know her thought process - heck, it may change my view. I am of the mindset that the candidates or for that matter the parties need to work for my vote.

I am still a registered republican so I told DH even though we have a crazy day next Saturday I will make a point of voting. I have to!

I'm considering registering republican just to vote against him (and Cruz for that matter) in the primary. DH has been talking about doing the same. He's registered independent. Primary isn't until late April here.

Didn't even think about switching my party affiliation when I updated my registration. Too late now, but man... Wish I had.
