  • Tomorrow is DS's first day of school. He has never done anything without me before!
It's a big day for both of us, but I think we are both excited about the possibilities.

Someone on DH's Facebook posted about iPhone 5 battery replacements this morning. We checked my phone and I qualify! The battery life on this phone has been awful. Off to get a new one today, so excited!

Here is the link to check: https://ssl.apple.com/support/iphone5-battery/

        • Hmmm, based on both of your responses, I wonder if they will expand the battery replacement program? It would cost $80 to do the replacement, but since I qualified, I paid nothing. I am still at more than 40% and I've been using this puppy all day. WPW, I've experienced ALL of the things you mentioned. So far, so good. The real test will be when I go back to work in a few days.

          • When I ask Lambie, "Where's momma?" She lights up, smiles really big, and opens her arms wide for a hug. Cutest. Baby. Ever.

              • Hubby emptied the dishwasher last night before I even had to ask. I was even going to give him a pass because he was on call and I had a clean set of pimp parts.

ETA: uh, pump parts. But I'm leaving it because it's funny.

                    • Listening to dh talk to his mom on FaceTime trying to setup her netflix at her new house. He keeps saying "no move the remote" " no don't do that"

And I am drinking a glass of wine in the bedroom. I am so glad he is being a grown up and doing it himself without me having to be involved.

                      • We had our second meetup of urology medical SOs last night, and we had so much fun! There are 6 of us total - 5 made it last time, and 3 made it this time. I guess there are technically 9 SOs total, but we didn't invite the guys. We meet for dinner at 7, which is usually E's bedtime. Last time she was a little sick, so she willingly nursed and went to bed early. This time I nursed her at 6:30 and put her down around 6:45, right when hubby got home, and she almost went to sleep but then realized what was happening and got fussy. I just walked out the door and figured he could handle it. Apparently he had to go in 3 times and soothe her before she finally went down, but it was his problem last night, not mine! Then she slept until 6 this morning!

                          So fucking weird.

                            • So thankful to have my parents in town. E's daycare called because she was really fussy this morning, so I decided I'd pick her up. Except I had a class to teach this afternoon. My mom came over for a few hours while I went back in to work. E's totally fine, I think she just wanted to play hooky today.

                              • when everything settles down I do think I'll write a thread to tell you guys all the weird thugs that happened I. my vacation. but coming away from it all I'm remembering are the awesome 2.5 weeks I spent exploring the Pacific Northwest. tomorrow is my birthday and its a long weekend so husband made reservations *somewhere* in the state and were going to head out to spend a few days there. all I know ISO have a new bike rack in my living room! the bikes are coming! and a bathing suit is a must!

we'll come home on Monday and then I start the new semester Tuesday. almost feeling ready for that. I've been able to catch up on work stuff a little but since I got home thursday morning but am pretty sure when we get back from out of town I'm going to have to hit the ground running.

summation: its been a good month!
