I can't wait for actual cold/flu season, it's going to be a blast!
    That was me with DS.
    I am so sorry! :/

She should know better than to ask that question.

      • ALOY - ugh, gotta LOVE people with absolutely no awareness of social decency! FWIW, you definitely don't look pregnant!

At least you can use the excuse that you gave birth to a human not too long ago. I, on the other hand, got the excited "when are you due" by a sales clerk last week and have no human to show for it. . I did not know how to answer...she looked mortified when she saw my face. I probably should never, ever wear empire waist anything again.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

          • Ugh, don't people know they shouldn't comment unless they are actually witnessing crowning? Until that moment, make no assumptions!!

            • Try to think positive. It's entirely possible, they just think you are in the baby making years (witness cutie #1) and have pregnancy on their mind. That style of dress was standard maternity wear for so long it makes anybody fall in to the "is she or isn't she" speculation. Just be happy they aren't posting pictures of you with the headline Baby Bump???? on the cover of a tabloid!

                • I agree with Angie. I'm thin (although slightly less so the last year, but still very much on the thin athletic side), and literally every time I skip a drink people either give me a look or ask me if I'm pregnant. People are idiots.

DH's program isn't reimbursing us for a conference for which we already paid $1,500 between registration, hotel and flight. I'm mildly peeved because I think it's a stupid policy but it's also mostly DH's fault since he didn't know (and didn't look up the policy) about reimbursement for posters. He had talked to the attending with whom he had worked and got the wrong information. Boo.

                    Oh well.

                    • Ughhhh dear co-worker, I realize that your youngest son just started college, but please don't summon us into your office on a daily basis to show us photos/videos of him.

Also, it's kind of creepy how much you are obsessed with him, seeing as though you have other kids. And the more you talk about how hot he is, the more you make me want to vomit.
I'm just trying to make it out alive!

                      • Today I'm planning an epic shopping trip to a Mall in the Big City. I get a little self-conscious and even anxious about these situations, dealing with retail assistants and mingling with crowds, so I proactively planned to dress carefully, wear a little makeup, make myself feel put-together. Well, that makes this the absolute perfect time for me to get a MONSTER of a cold sore. It feels like a planet hanging off of my lip. I'd be uncomfortable and irritable even if I were sitting home in my PJs, so much for avoiding discomfort and irritation while throwing myself out of my own comfort zone!

Ew. What is a college aged boy doing that could possibly warrant a video that he's sent to his mother/she's sharing with co-workers? That's so creepy. A few pics of setting him up in the dorm room/in front of his dorm/in front of the univ sign? Maybe. Otherwise...

Also...why is she calling her son hot? That's weird. Handsome, sure...but hot?

Aww. I know it's easy to say, and I get how self-conscious an epic shopping trip already makes you feel (me, too!), but please try to enjoy it anyway, and not stress it.
