    • Dear DH,

When I make ahead meals for M/T/W night because I'll be out of town on Weds until after bedtime and slammed M/T nights and then I find out you've been taking that food to the hospital each day, I do plan to castrate you once I get a hold of you. I cannot fucking believe that you are so thoughtless about the fact that between 5:30 and 6:30 every night, I disengage from work (physically while my phone continues to blow up with calls and definitely with emails to answer later), feed the baby, get the download from the nanny/plan for the next day with her, prepare dinner, and serve dinner to our kids/myself. Usually while fielding calls that you won't be home until later.

Having dinner made ahead is the key to my sanity which I have now lost and you are 100% to blame. I hope you have fun tomorrow night figuring out what to feed them. Only you probably will work late and it'll be our nanny's problem.

Also, tonight, I think you were probably going to angle for sexy time considering it's been a few days. Consider that request DE-NIED, I'll be in the kitchen.

      Love,
      The Management.

To eat. Because he was too lazy to get up to make himself sandwiches/lunch like he should.

Something tells me if that was the case, they'd be going hungry (you know, because Busy Doctor Schedule Can't Accommodate Other Menial Life Duties).

Sorry, T&S. I would flip the eff out, for sure. That is such a slap in the face to all the hard work you do prepping to help your week go smoothly with work and your children and all the other responsibilities you have to balance - and he couldn't even carve out 5 minutes to slap a sandwich together? Tsk, tsk, Dr. T&S.

                • Yeah, we'd starve if it was him on dinner. I'm just so frustrated. It's like I work too but somehow despite the fact that my job financially supports us, I do all the cooking, cleaning, and childcare too. And to be fair, he is an AMAZING help (like literally never stops) when he's home but he's NEVER home. EVER. Third year has sucked.so.bad. I cannot even describe it. And this was supposed to be our good year before the away rotations start AGAIN in fourth year.

                  • Worlds slowest pick up line two days in a row. I think there's only one teacher instead of two loading kids into cars. I do wish the school would make a larger parking lot- they have the room- so I could just park my car and pick him up over idling for 30min in my car creeping toward the damn door. Such a waste of time!

My kids met the asshole on the street. There's always one. He yelled "get off my property" as they walked towards him to ask if he would buy a coupon book. They came home crying. Apparently they rope off their driveway during the Halloween block party so no one gets on their property. Yeah, I left a big fuck you note to asshole.

Who yells at kids?! Especially ones with good manners, respecting public property.

Exactly!! He yelled at a freaking kindergartener and I left a note telling him that's disgusting and that my child came home crying. Why live in a sub known for family friendliness and community if you hate people. Ugh.

I totally get this. Fourth year was effin' hell. I realize that its not realistic, and I would probably threaten it but not require it because I would not take away one of the few hours he gets to sleep or few seconds with the girls. He needs to know that him taking family food saves him 10 minutes but costs you 2-3 hours. I imagine your DH will apologize profusely.

I generally make DHs lunch 90% of the time (because I work a fraction of your hours) but market day makes frozen deli sandwiches, costco has frozen chicken sandwiches, and all grocery stores have those pb or cheese cracker sandwiches. They are great easy lunches.

I keep those and a shit-ton of prepackaged food on hand so I literally just throw it together (sandwich, chip, granola bar, fruit cups or fresh fruit, apple sauce, protein bars, jerky, trail mix, cheese sticks, fruit snacks, yogurt, etc.)

Oh and I also buy those totinos deli wraps when they are on sale.... whatever you can do to get him to make his own damn lunch!

He did apologize profusely and actually brought today's serving home since I busted him via text before he ate the food (which of course made me feel horrible but I guess he got something else to eat). He's on peds and has no time to eat but he promised to start making his lunch more diligently. The issue with me packing his lunch is that I'm usually working in the evenings.

Additionally, his sainted mother never served anything processed or packaged so he just really prefers not to eat frozen meals, fruit cups, etc. And to be honest, I don't love that stuff either. I agree though that I could be more cognizant of buying grab and go fruit/cheese and yogurts. That's a good idea. Then at least he could grab those.

DH here gets the evening's leftovers. I try to make enough for his lunch the next day. Sometimes when he wants more, I remind him that he can eat it now and make himself a sandwich or eat crappy cafeteria food. Can your DH make himself his lunch from the evening's leftovers?
