Big Boss is in the house. Starting tomorrow. Is everyone else starting Friday? And of course this would be over Super Bowl Sunday weekend. Not backing out now though. I'll log about it in my fitness log I have going.

I do give him some small amount of juice occasionally. Usually, it is a veggie-based one: kale, spinach, etc.

I'm starting tomorrow, but there was a little snafu with my produce getting here. I'm going to start mid-day (which also seems a little less scary to me). I'm going to have a healthy breakfast, and will start juicing for lunch.

Because of the cost I'm making one juice a day "The Mean Green" from the film. Otherwise I eat solid foods. Dh says if I stick to juicing and really like it then one day we can buy the better quality juicer and I can do the 10 day juice fast. I'd like to give it a try. The only thing I wonder is how many juices did he drink a day? Does anyone know if he just drank juice whenever he felt he needed something?

Uh oh. I totally, totally forgot about the Super Bowl. Crap! I'll have to think about this. I really don't want to make it THAT hard on myself. I'll never make it. I'll let you know. My juicer should be here tomorrow. Maybe I can do a 3-day juice fest. Tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday and see how it goes. If it goes well, I could then try a longer spurt? I don't know. I think 3 days is going to be super, duper hard for me anyway. I need to figure out what recipes I want to do first. I also need to know how much juice I should be consuming.

Go for three then Heidi! I checked out some books on juicing from the library, but also can't figure out how much juice people are drinking. I also read to drink a ton of water.

Good luck to those who are fasting! Make sure you're never far from a restroom though. Things can get...interesting!

I'll say! The first day on the first drink! It really does clean you out. My Mom told me it's the ginger that is very cleansing. It feels good though. Gives you more energy and I'm not sure how to put this but it's like clean fuel for you body so you feel more fresh, if that makes sense. It makes me think of that animation in his film where he says the micro-nutrients clean your cells.

Joe has his own YouTube channel and answers a lot of these questions.
DH has a PDF that he's going to give me: I can post it or PM/e-mail if that would work.

I read on reboot that each drink should be at least 16 oz. which is not hard at all. My morning one was 1 bunch of Swiss chard, 2 large carrots, and 1 pear. This yielded exactly 16 oz.

Found the videos thanks! He says 6 juices a day starting with fruits then working into vegetables but if you can drink that much then just drink when you feel you need energy.

Better than I thought! I drank it very quickly and have been peeing non stop! And it helps if everything is refrigerated so it's nice and cold. And don't forget to put a plastic grocery bag in the pulp catcher!

Forgot about the bag tip (although now that I'm all "reusable bag" lady, I have very few plastic bags). I did a celery, apple, and carrot drink this morning (because I wanted to start, but it was all i had in the house), and it was awesome. Also did a grapefruit, carrot, ginger, mint juice just now, and it was good. Who knew I would drink grapefruit juice? Next I'm doing the green machine drink, so I'll let you know how it goes. It seems the most vegetabally. I forgot to soak my almonds this morning, so no almond milk until tomorrow. I would say my hunger level is lower than normal. I did decide that I'm not working out while I do this. It's hard enough to workout with vertigo on board, I don't want to make myself pass out or something. And I LOVE my juicer. I'll be using it from now on.
