I need to get the Fitbit out again. I just hate how mine has no watch component.

Which one do you have, T&S? I have to admit I love the watch feature on my new-to-me Charge HR.
Abnormal how ballibeg?!
My interval workout last night went well, and so did my "easy" run today -- I really struggle with the easy part of things lately though, I averaged over 150 bpm. Tomorrow is a good day for a rest day on the ol' training plan, since we'll be on the road! I will try to get a short walk in the evening but that may be it for the day.Alison

Ah, boo. My Zip at least had a screen, and the time was one of the things it could display, but it was really awkward to pull it out of a pocket and tap-tap-tap-tap at it until it got to the right screen. >.< I ended up using my phone to check the time except for rare occasions, but was pretty much on the brink of just getting a dang watch.Alison

I'm just waiting for a sporting goods shop to open this morning so I can get some padded shorts. My sit bones hurt after riding a men's saddle for 10 miles yesterday.
The shop is amazing. When I was test riding yesterday, I asked about raising the head because of a should injury and shitty wrists. They made a few mods and I took it out again. They were trying to close the sale minutes before close, but I don't know enough to even know what questions to ask. So, I left and grabbed a friend who is more knowledgeable and we returned 30 minutes after close. They were awesome, they cheered when I tried to open the door. My friend took it out for a quick ride then walked through the tech stuff with the guys. I asked about saddles and the bike guys showed some options. But when I mentioned that I preferred the saddle on a different bike I test rode, they swapped them out on the spot.

My knees are a bit sore today, but I also went for a walk in some new hiking boots that I need to break in. Being on pavement with the stiff sole wasn't great.Kris

I got my Fizik Vitesse secondhand so it was already broken in. Still, the first few rides this year have taken about a week each to recover fully from that bruised sit bone feeling! Recovery time seems to be getting shorter so I am hopeful that by acclimating slowly I can get really comfy on the bike again. (Last time I was riding high mileage, over 10 years ago, I was continually plagued by saddle sores.)Alison
