  • Today I had to hand wash a coffee cup so I could have a good-sized cup of coffee.

Today I added chocolate syrup to my coffee.

That's our new tradition - we're going to make each other cards on holidays, instead of buying them. I've enjoyed making cards my whole life, but my partner always felt like she wasn't creative and crafts were just not her thing... until she decided to try it, and discovered that she loves it. She tells me about how before Valentine's Day, she went marching into Michaels craft store, found an employee, and was like, "I need a doily! And red paper!" So funny. Now, our sweet cards are hanging side by side on the fridge, and she's already excitedly planning the Halloween card she's going to make me!!
      That is SO sweet!

Today, I have another sinus headache/mild migraine. Loratadine doesn't seem to be touching it. Damn Ragweed.

Yeah; unfortunately, I don't have any with me - I took a few ibuprofen, and that seems to be knocking it back to tolerable; if it gets worse again, I can go across the street to walgreens and buy me some real sudafed (and sign in the book; at least it doesn't have to be prescription here!).

The first few years I lived here were the first time in my memory I didn't have seasonal allergies; it was wonderful. My body was apparently only sensitized to PNW allergens. The last few years, it's been gradually getting worse.

              • Today is day 3 of painting the interiors of our house. I'm pretty sure that we have painted our living room and all hallways a beige-y shade of pink! (*note to self* never take an interior designer's word and quick look at a color wheel for color selection and slap a sample up to actually see!!!)

It's time for the painters to finish up, because dd has been complaining that all she wants is to "just sit on the couch, ya know?" Those are her words, verbatim.

Today we took a tour bus of the Ring of Kerry and now we're sitting in the cafe at our hotel relaxing! A little to much family time but we're enjoying our time in Ireland!

Today, I took my dog to meet her potential new brother! She was kind of a bitch to him but he took to her right away -- I think once she gets over the fact that she's no longer an only dog she'll love him.
Today, I'm going to drop way too much money at the pet store to get ready for our new addition.
Today, I'm waiting anxiously for a package to arrive in the mail. Why is it they're always running late on the days you're expecting something good?

Oh my gosh, I didn't know that! Wow, that could explain a lot. He really wasn't trying to be naughty when he broke free to run... he wasn't trying to run away from me, he just really wanted to run. And when I started running, too, he thought that was great - like "YAY, now we're running together!!" Haha.

I've used neilmed sinus rinse and it's not scary or painful, and it did seem to help. I should dig it out and start using it regularly again.
