What's your weather like?

Left Cleveland, headed to Chicago at 9am. We had a little snow leaving town, hit two patches of minor lake effect snow, but that's it. So far, I think ( maybe hope) that the forecasts have done a great job if delaying or canceling peoples travel plans.

Wait seriously? Its like a light dusting of sloppy, wet snow. There's no "geddon" about it. It's a little annoying getting my shoes wet... but I can't bear to break out big winter boots because it would look absurd wearing them with so little snow on the ground... maybe I need some wellies for living here.

Maybe that's just some of your hometown roots coming through there. I considered busting out my boots yesterday walking through Squirrel Hill... maybe I'm lame.

Regardless, it was certainly no gobblegeddon.

DFW Ice Freak Out 2.0 should commence tomorrow night. I think we are actually going to get some impacts this time.

Which sucks, because that blows N's 2nd birthday party out of the water. And the "mommy/daddy day" we had planned for Friday. And gives my in-laws an excuse not to come up.

What I'm not looking for is turning on the $$$$ heat. (Emergency heat) Heat pumps are awesome for Texas 95% of the time, but when it gets below 30, forget it.

We got snow last night, the weatherman went on and on during the news last night about how we weren't going to get snow until Sunday, uh huh!

We are about to get cold. As Sooner Texan mentioned-- the Texas ice freakout is about to happen. I'm excited and a little bummed -- I'd like it to be cool without freezing. But at least I can wear my coat. I have two or three coats -- which cracks me up since I wear them so little. You'd think one would be plenty.

Per the home weather station nearest me, our weather is "Currently Uncomfortably Cold, Dry with partly cloudy skies".

There's precipitation brewing off to the west of us and it's 29 degrees so we might actually get some snow.

Sleet is starting. Church meeting cancelled tonight. Ballet cancelled. DH is heading home soon and will do his notes at home.
