  • I was late and missed body pump today, ugh. So 45 boring minutes on the treadmill it was.

    • I got in about 5 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes of weights. Wish I could've done more, but we were hurrying to a kid activity, and I didn't get around soon enough. Now I'm running errands in my workout clothes (yes, yoga pants). Sorry fashionistas, it's practical, and I haven't had time to change!

      • Too much work to run in evening. Lying awake thinking about running before college. Not sure run will energise or tire me out at start of day.

        • The Strava app and website are driving me crazy.

What's going on? I haven't run in a couple weeks.

            • Just little stuff. I'm in a crabby mood because DH is sick and I'm getting it now too, so Strava is my target.

Both seem pretty clunky to me and not intuitive at all. The app hasn't been working for me the last several days, so this morning I used the website to update activity. They're not congruent--the app default for time is 0 hours/minutes/seconds, but the website default is 1 hour/0 minutes/0 seconds, so it took me a minute to figure out why I was running 30 minute miles. Couldn't just fix the entry on the site, I had to delete and re-enter the entire activity. My guess is that there is probably a way to do edit the entry, but when I attempted the option to edit time wasn't available. Sigh.

              • Yeah, I think the site is more designed to work with recorded workouts, and manual entries are an afterthought that doesn't work well. I've noticed that too.

D, hope you ran! I have found that it's more energizing than tiring even if I get less than 7 hours of sleep in order to get up and get moving in the morning (still doesn't mean I get up and do it if I don't have to, but still!)

                • Yes I'm annoyed the Strava App doesn't have a way to set up intervals during a workout like runkeeper

                    • Ran 4 miles this morning. My car thermometer said it was 92, and my phone said 84. Either way, it was hot! Felt so good to get back out there, though. I've been doing more weights in the gym and less running lately.

                      • Whew, that is a hot run ladymoreta!

I did BodyPump today, too. I think I'm getting the hang of it.

                        • Managed to squeeze in a quick pre dinner run with the stroller squadron (me with D in the single, C and R in the double with Dh). I was sad bc I thought I missed my chance today bc of my Derm appt.

Fully clothed, I'm looking more like my pre pregnancy self though none of my shorts fit yet and the scale isn't really budging.

                          • Just wanted to share my enthusiasm, here: Fifth day in a row of being able to log a workout in my "up" app! Realized on Monday that daily burn now has a cool feature, DB 365 (they've had it a while, but I wasn't paying attention): at 9am Eastern every day, they tape a live studio workout (no equipment needed, 30 minutes long including warmup and cooldown, all try to be total-body strength and cardio combined, different every single day), and then it's available until the next one is recorded, to play whenever. And there's now an app that works on my fireTV that's attached to my TV, so it's just a few clicks to play it on the big screen! My problem with their workouts before was that I was getting bored with the same exact workouts over and over, and they were all different lengths and intensities, so figuring out which one(s) to do was a pain. This is the perfect answer to that for me. I did Monday and Tuesday, and I was SO sore on Wednesday, but didn't want to skip a day and not do anything, so I pulled up a couple Priscilla's Yoga Stretches I've got on the DVR from PBS, and did them (which was perfect; less sore afterwards!). I did Thursday's DB 365, and I was a little sore again today, but DH actually encouraged me to just do today's workout, too, instead of going back to the yoga...so I did! And I'm still sore, but it feels good, you know? I can fit 45 minutes (including time to get a jogbra on, start up the TV, and get through the pre-workout intro) into my day almost no matter what, so I really don't have an excuse not to do it.

                              • This cold has made it impossible for me to breathe. I've been doing core work, squats, and light yoga at home. Hopefully I kick it soon. Glad it happened early in 1/2 training.
