Jogged/walked 3 miles with a friend this morning. I'm ready to start building distance/speed again, but I think I need to take it slower for now since apparently I'm pretty injury prone.

Yesterday was nutso, with a hike, walk to school to volunteer, and soccer practice (which always involves a good bit of walking whether I pad it with extra walking or not.) My foot hurt today and I was tired so I took the day off of exercise. I have to run tomorrow come hell or high water!Alison

I didn't get to work out this morning, but I took the kids for a (slow) half mile walk this afternoon, so it was a little activity. Today was my weigh in day, and I was down two lbs! But... We just got a Papa John's, so we're having that for supper tonight.

I ran/walked 3 miles with my friend again today. Then she talked me into trying the barre class at our gym, but when we got there, it was a teacher she didn't like, so we did weights. It felt good getting back to it - I haven't lifted in a couple weeks while recovering from the race. I took it pretty easy, but I can already tell I'll feel it in the morning.Laurie

Nice work everyone! ballibeg, it's great that you're even looking for opportunities to run while on Mallorca, and LM, I find it so hard to come back from a race and get into a routine again, so way to go pushing it! ides, I hope you feel great about two days of hitting your goals, keep it up.
Yesterday I didn't "exercise" at all (but still got 14k steps) and totally blew my diet plan out of the water (VB6, meet sausage and egg breakfast, California roll lunch, buttered popcorn snack and pepperoni pizza dinner, LOL!) For the diet bit, I feel a little gross and it will be no problem doing better today, but for the exercise bit, the kids have a half day and my foot hurts and hubby probably wants to go for a hike and it's overcast and drizzly, so it's gonna be tough to convince myself to get out for a >4 mile run like I need to do. :\Alison

Hey spotty_dog thanks for the recipe!
Restarted paleo on Monday, feeling great. Still tracking calories and mostly staying in range. Not sure if I'm losing weight since I haven't stopped drinking wine.... Maybe next week....
I was tempted to weigh this morning then didn't. Don't want to get discouraged since I totally blew the diet last weekend

I did a half ironman two years in a row now, and I can't even imagine a full! I found that if I could build running or biking into my commute a couple times a week that helped. I'd always let swimming slide bc it's my strongest of the three. Lots of stretching and a little yoga were essential for my hip flexors!
