  • July 10th, not July 11th! I don't know why I keep saying the 11th. I'm not running 9 miles on a Monday!

A coworker is running it too. I'm sure he and Lady Moreta will keep the beer cold for me at the finish line

    • Stepped on the scale today. Broke the barrier to within 5 lbs to goal weight.

I've been moving every day whether that's with the baby strapped to me and the stroller or whether it's waiting until Dh gets home and running with the stroller armada (single and a double) together.

Feeling better about being back to goal before I start work again.

Nope, I'm running with you!! I do plenty of solo runs. I like having someone to run with for races.

            • Congrats ladies great job!

Today I did a 1.2 mile swim and 56 mile bike duathlon... with no training lol. It actually went pretty well and I feel decent. Ready to rest and eat!

                        • I'm not feeling nearly as sore as I thought I would be. It went really well--having Laurie there pushed me and made the time go by quickly. The last mile sucked though! What really helped is a storm came through the night before and dropped the temp to the high 70s/low 80s instead of the high 80s we were anticipating!

Next up for me is an October Sprint Tri and the December half! I have a gift card from a project at work that we are going to by a smart trainer with and I'm going to attempt to start riding indoors a few times a week.

                          • Awesome! I find I miss the bike, it'll be a priority when the kids are back in school -- I might even try to get out for a ride or two when they're in camp next month.

Long run this morning. It felt pretty good actually, given that I only got about 6.5 hours of sleep last night. But man, these long runs are getting time consuming. I have no idea how I'm going to continue making time for them, but I'm taking it one week at a time. I should probably register for my race soon, in fact...

                            • I need to vent about weight loss.

I'm still losing, but it is so insanely slow. After an inexplicable 2.5 lb gain a few weeks ago, my net loss for the last month is .4lbs. I'm keeping at it, but it is maddening. I track every damn thing. I go over my allotment some days, but I'm still pretty much exclusively nursing and I work out to make up for it. I MORE than work out to make up for it. Like 4-5 hours of intense exercise a week.

I have to be so careful or I gain so easily. I've resigned myself to probably having to track for the foreseeable future and work out like an athlete to stay at whatever goal I reach. I'm going to slap the next skinny person that doesn't work out and says being skinny is "just hard work."

                              • You'll overcome this plateau, promise. Did you take measurements? You're likely building muscle which looks like gain, but will help faster loss later. Stick with it, you're already such an inspiration.
