We're trying though! This was the problem with the other medical spouses' Rav group too. What do you say about yarn and knitting about amongst dawkters' wives that you wouldn't choose to say in your other Rav groups or right here? I am starting to get a feel for what conversations make sense there though.

Today I successfully cooked, ate, and kept down an egg sandwich. Win!

Also, Chick-fil-A lemonade settles my "morning" sickness better than any other remedy I've ever seen suggested anywhere. I just ordered a gallon and am going to pick it up this afternoon. Haha.

Isn't it always strange how certain things help like that?
My only suggestion is beware the sugar content in their lemonade -- it's super high.
(I'm not a blood sugar nazi, I'm more worried about your teeth).

Yeah, I've thought about that. I used to work there and made the lemonade, so I definitely know it's a lot! Haha. I really only sip it, though, rather than drinking glasses at a time. Since it settles my stomach enough that I can eat something other than tortilla chips, I feel like it's worth it for now! And I brush/floss religiously.

I told hubby if he wanted to go out to dinner with the gang after their conference (E was already asleep before he left, I can entertain myself), he had to bring me dessert.

We met Ronald McDonald today. Apparently, they have an "official" Ronald McDonald who drives around the country making restaurant appearances. K1 begged me to go out to Smashburger for lunch today. He wanted to "treat" me and his brother having saved up a whopping $1.75 from his allowance. I told them that we could go after Lambie's nap if they behaved and they towed the line. But at the last minute, K2 had to be a stinker and insisted that he wanted to go to McDonalds instead. I let K1 decide (since he was treating, after all ) and he decided that he wanted to go to McDonalds because he likes the happy meal toys. I had no idea that THE R. McDonald was scheduled to make an appearance there. There were $1.99 happy meals, a magic show, gifts for the kids, free ice cream. K1 got quite a lot for his $1.75.

But here's the rave part. K1 was picked out of the group to be Ronald's assistant for the magic show. He hadn't even volunteered and, frankly, I was worried that he wouldn't be able to follow instructions well enough to stay on task since he has difficulty following instructions especially in unfamiliar, crowded, and exciting situations -- and what could be more exciting to a 4yo than to have an unfamiliar guy in a clown make up call you up to be in a show in front of a couple dozen kids. But he did great! He was just adorable and afterwards introduced Ronald and everyone to his siblings. (K2 who was afraid, made a point of deliberately pouring his milk on the table when I was trying to take a picture of K1 in the show. Oy.) Anyway, K1 put his arm around K2, drew himself up really tall, and told everyone, "This is my little brother, K2. See, we are different sizes and we live in the same house so that makes us brothers." Then told them, "This is my sister. Her name is B, but her love name is Lambie...." Then he declared this to be "the most exciting day of his life" and thanked Ronald a dozen or so times on the way out the door. It was really great. I was so proud of him for holding it together, containing his excitement, following instructions, and remembering his manners.

We found a preschool that has both curriculum and safety standards in place that I can get behind.
It won't break the bank, and it's only 10 minutes from home! DH can drop DS off right before work, and I will pick up. School starts in 2 weeks, and I can't tell who is more excited: me, or DS.

DH said he can drop off most days! Man, am I loving attendinghood! And the bus will bring them home.
